Electrical and electronics engineering has undeniable impacts on every area of our lives such as manufacturing, transport, energy and the environment, communications, commerce, entertainment and healthcare. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program provides students with opportunity to go into specialist areas such as electromechanical energy conversion, control and power systems. So students can reach careers in special areas such as electrical machines, power electronics and electric drive systems, renewable energy systems, power generation and industrial control systems. This program leads students having skills in designing and performing experimental projects.
We have Semester in Industry Course in general Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme. Our students spend a semester working full-time for an industrial company. This will put academic study into context and enhance career prospects of our students. They also graduate with a degree title that reflects their industrial experience. Placements take place in fall or spring semester in fourth year for EEE students. It is an opportunity for students to put theoritical informations into practice, to learn about workplace culture and to develop the skills and qualities employers are looking for. Work experience will improve student's employment prospects. Semester in Industry application for our undergraduate program is compulsory. This provides students to spend a semester working in industry as part of their degree and then graduate with a degree title that reflects their work experience.
Instruction language is Turkish in our department.
Undergraduate program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering takes four years (8 semesters).
We also offer Master of Science (MSc) and Doctoral (PhD) degrees in Electrical and electronics engineering. The MSc programme takes 24 months and the PhD programme takes 36 months and they are taught in Turkish.
