The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a department that deals with basic engineering science principles and aims to provide theoretical and applied electrical and electronics education at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level.

In this respect, it is the main goal of our department to train engineers who are able to follow current science and technology in the field of electricity and electronics in our country and in the world and have the ability to analyze and implement them. In accordance with this goal, science and technological innovations to contribute to the service of our country and the whole humanity in order to implement the existing laboratories in our department as well as the facilities of our industry are utilized.

In addition to the basic engineering concepts, the department provides education and training on design and analysis of Electrical and electronic circuits and systems, communication systems, electrical facilities, electrical machines and automation systems.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering receives students from both general high schools and vocational high schools and especially technical high schools providing education in the related field. Students from vocational high schools are subjected to a one-year scientific preparatory education. In this program, which is decided to be implemented by YÖK in 2010-2011 academic year, students from vocational high schools are given general high school education in Mathematics, Physics and chemistry courses.

The students who complete the undergraduate education of our department are given the title of Electrical and electronics engineer. Our graduates gain the ability to design and analyze electrical plants, electrical machines, electronics and communication, as well as the knowledge and skills in applied industrial automation and control.
